It’s been a while since I last took pictures of my kids. I’ve been busy taking pictures for others and kinda forgot to take their pictures. Summer break is almost over.

We spent some times at the park in our neighborhood. Niki is bigger now and she can climb the quarter circle ladder by herself. Jeremy can play the monkey bar now. And for Raphael, he can crawl and stand still without support for a few moment.

I experimented with the texture technique to make a couple of the pictures look old and scratchy. What do you think? Thumbs up/down? Suggestions? Anyway, here’re their pictures. Enjoy!

I saw this picture a few months ago at MSNBC website. Picture like this amazes me. I can only say, “Wow, You are amazing LORD”. Something that big is very small if seen from afar. How about us who live on the earth? If those stars, planets, etc look only like dust, we’re even smaller than that. Yet, He loves us so much that He gave His only Son so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.

It’s always nice to meet another photographer. There’s always something new to learn. Robb, the owner of Plateau Portraits, invited us to visit his studio last month. However, my schedule has been very pack and we couldn’t do it until last night. So, we finally went to visit the studio last night.

We knew Robb from my son’s kindergarten teacher. He’s my son’s kindergarten teacher’s father. He’s also called “Super Dad”. :) Robb, Lani and Nikki are very nice and they showed us around the studio and the set-up. It’s a very nice studio. I like it. :)

I knew that our city is a good place to live. But I have never thought that it’ll be one of the best 100 places to live in the US. It came in at number 11, according to Money magazine.

Time seems to move so fast this week. Tomorrow is already weekend and lots more things still need to be done. I am getting a bit behind in blogging this week. :(

Fenny and Rio had their baby shower last week. They are expecting a baby girl, Claire, some time next month. This is going to be their first child. Some fun facts that I learned at the baby shower: expect to spend about $7,000 to $8,000 on diapers until your baby is potty trained.

It’s a scary disaster. A Mississippi River bridge at Minnesota collapsed today. In the state of Washington, we’ve talked about the SR-520 bridge that needs to be repaired. Compared to that bridge, SR-520 bridge is much longer and the water underneath is much deeper. I just hope that people over here in our state put some thoughts about this disaster and start fixing the deteorating SR-520 bridge.

It’s amazing that this movie smashed the industry expectations and raked in about $168 million ($71.8 million in the US alone) in the first weekend. [Source: Reuters]
