I bought this Ipod accessories over the weekend. I tried it in my car yesterday and started to search for the clear FM station. At first, it works pretty well when the car is at the stop position. However, as soon as I move my car, the static noise started to come in and sound from radio station sometimes can be heard. Trying to find a clear FM station is extremely difficult. After about an hour trying, I gave up. I am very disappointed at this product.

I read the news that writers go on strike. I didn’t really follow the situation, but from my brief reading on MSNBC, it seems that they can’t get an contract agreement over the royalties (revenue) from the new media (internet).

Another monday, another Dancing with the stars. As I watch the show again tonight, somehow I lost interest. It’s true that this season the stars can dance. Unlike the previous seasons that only a few dancers can dance, this season, most of them can dance. But, I didn’t really like what the judges did. As the dance started and from the way they gave scores, I knew exactly how it’s going to end. The judges were afraid to actually score the dance. Instead they played around with the scores to make sure that the scores are about even in the end from 50-54. The song selections were also really bad. Helio must dance tango with a non-tango music. Even I can see Marie did some bad footwork and yet she got a 10? Cameron completely miss/forgot his moves, and he still got an 8? The song for Mel B paso doble was horrible. I don’t really like Mel B dance, but the judge gave a perfect 30 to make sure that judges’ favorite score just a bit higher than the rest. I actually like Jennie’s dance better than Mel’s. Well, anyway, it’s now up to the audience to decide who we want to watch next week. I like all the stars, but I think Jane, Marie and Cameron are not as skilled as Mel, Jennie and Helio.

Last week, I went to my son’s school for the pumpkin carving event. This is the very first time that we did this. Jeremy drew the pumpkin himself without any stencil and I helped him out with the cutting. Here are some pictures from the event. Enjoy!

I don’t usually get excited for a news about hard drive. However, my 8 months computer has used up all of the 4 hard drive bays and my hard drives become full with photos very fast lately, I am looking forward to a bigger and better hard drive. [Source: MSNBC]

I took a little break to watch Dancing with the Stars. This year, the competition seems harder than before. I don’t understand how the judges give their scores. Sure, Sabrina can dance, but all 10’s? When it was time to call to vote, I call only to find that the voting has been closed for my time zone. I called in at 9.30PM PST. Last week, the system said that I have exceeded the voting limit from my phone even though we haven’t vote yet. I guess my vonage phone doesn’t work well with ABC voting system.

I got a new cool Ipod Touch. The screen is good enough for showing photo slide shows. I started using it to show photos to my prospect clients.

My son and I did a “Walk-a-ton” at his school last Friday. He’s so excited to walk around his school with his friends. He wanted to walk to get raffle tickets for a chance to win a prize. I asked, “what if you don’t win?” He said, “it’s ok. Nobody can win everything.” I am proud of him.

It was such a different experience. This is the first movie that I get involved with. Sohib (a slang of Indonesian word that means “buddy” or BFF) is going to be in theater on November 3, 2007. It’s a short independent amateur movie, directed by Sylvia Gunawan. Though she has the same last name as me, we’re totally unrelated. Sohib earn a 3rd place at Indonesian amateur Short Film Festival.

Last week, we went to play at Marina beach park at Edmonds. When we were about to leave the beach, I saw this cool looking and unique three wheel car. I ask John (did I remember his name correctly?) for his permission to take picture of his car and post them on my blog. I took a few pictures along with Max. Last week we were invited to Lakemont Park for BBQ party. We met a lot of
new people there. Who wouldn’t want to spare sometimes for such
mouth-watering food? The park itself is a very strategic place to have a bbq, especially if you have kids. The seclusive location of the 2 shelters with the bbq equipments and the grass adjacent to the shelters make the park a kid friendly place to have a picnic. The kids can play frisbee while the adults enjoy each other company. The working water fountain and faucet also makes it convenient for everybody to wash their hands after meals. Just bring along soap, paper towel and some clothes for the kids to change.

Thanks for those who prepared the food and those who did the grilling. This is definitely one of the reasons we love summer
