This weekend’s weather was really strange. Yesterday, it started with tiny hail, continued with rain, then sun break. I thought that it’s going to be a good day after the sun came out. It turned out, it’s only the first of the cycle. Through out the day, it’s like that and snow came into the mix once in a while.

Then this morning as I woke up, I saw that it started to snow again, quite heavy. So, I captured a few shots of the snow.

Every editor in the world, seems to try to evangelize global warming. But as I look outside the window, that doesn’t make any sense. Some part of the world is getting warmer and the ice in Greenland were melting. But over here, it seems like it feels like it’s getting colder. Is it possible that the cold/warm simply is simply shifting from one place to another?

What’s your thought about the strange weather?

Finally, after weeks of trying to find some time to go sledding at Hyak, Snoqualmie Pass, we went there a few days ago. It’s too overcrowded on the President’s day. Tuesday was perfect. The weather wasn’t as cold as when we went there a few weeks ago during snow storm (before all the avalanche). It’s about 41F, quite warm, about 20F warmer.

Here are some of the pictures that I took that day. Enjoy!

There were still some snow left on the ground. Though spotty, still we can sled. It’s not as fast or smooth as the day before. Niki and Raphael really enjoy sledding. Jeremy too, but he complained that there’s not enough snow. And it’s hard for him to get his sled to pass thru the bump that he made the day before.

Here’re some more pictures. Enjoy!

Panning.. I love it. It made the background blur while keeping the subject in focus.

It started to snow pretty heavy on Monday afternoon. By night, we probably already have about 3-4 inches of snow. On Tuesday, the temperature was still near freezing and the snow was still there. So, as usual, my kids wanted to play in the snow. :D

At first, they’re just playing in our backyard. Then as Jeremy was pushing the Raphael and Niki on the sled, I saw that the snow seem to be able to handle their weight. So, I took them to the park near by our house. We all had a lot of fun.

Here are some of the pictures that I took on Tuesday. Enjoy!

First snow this season. I was driving at I-405 when it started to snow. I decided to drove back home before it’s too late. I didn’t want to get stuck in the snow again like last year. As soon as I got home, my kids wanted to play in the snow. So, I grabbed my camera and took some pictures. Here are my favorites from today’s. Happy snow day!
